What you see is a lie,
My face might look pretty,
I may be nice,
But you don't know.

I'm wearing a mask.
Why, you ask.
Because I'm being forced,
To hide away.

You don't know me,
You don't know my face,
My words,
My feelings,
Or my heart.

What you see is just a mask.
Hiding the truth from you all!
It must be known to the world,
My face behind the mask.

Behind this mask you can see...
My true face,
My actual words,
My real feelings,
And my true heart!

I'm tired of hiding,
I must take off my mask.
So you all can see who I really am!
Not the lies you see.

Under my mask...
My face is ugly.
My words are cruel.
I only feel rage and anger.
My heart is dark.

This is why I wearing a mask,
Because everyone fears...
The monster I really am.
And the darkness they see.
